Huatulco, MX - 2024

WELCOME TO HUATULCO!

Huatulco is 29,368 acres of National Park, making it one of the largest and most diverse ecosystems in Mexico with 128 endangered species, 9 bays, and 36 beaches.

In the 1980’s, Fonatur (Fondo Nactional de Turismo) acquired land in Huatulco to develop a tourism center and improve the roadways and infrastructure while ensuring the area remained ecologically friendly. In 2006, Huatulco was awarded the Green Globe International Certification as a sustainable tourist area. It was the first sustainable tourist community in the Americas and the third worldwide to receive this prestigious award due to its development programs for a culture to conserve its natural resources. Huatulco has so much ecotourism to explore. Untouched golden sand beaches, tropical landscapes and a relaxing lifestyle make Huatulco an ideal destination for MIBE’s first Executive Retreat!

THE PLAN

Over the course of our time together, we will take you on a series of adventures that will introduce you to the culture, beauty, and cuisine of this hidden gem of a destination. In addition to the excursions outlined in the agenda, the retreat includes:

Heart leadership programming that will give attendees a chance to go deep into their impact as a leader
Education on best practices for creating an awesome company culture
Relationship-building that will serve you for years to come

7 BAHIAS TOUR BOAT
Board a 45’ yacht and get ready for a day of fun in the sun! A guided tour will take us up the coast to explore the National Park with multiple spots to explore secluded beaches and snorkel in the clear Pacific Ocean. Sightseeing may include dolphins, turtles, and a variety of birds. We will stop at Playa Riscalillo to relax and enjoy a local seafood lunch on the beach.
RELAX & RECHARGE
Enjoy a leisurely morning with some down time at the pool house with optional activities to build community. Followed by an afternoon exploring the charming town of La Crucecita and experiencing the local culture.
MAGIC WATERFALLS
Discover the Sierra Madre del Sur Mountains and the spectacular Magical Copalitilla Waterfalls. It is a fascinating place within the jungle where we will explore beautiful clear waterfalls ideal for swimming. During the tour there will be a stop to enjoy coffee, mezcal tastings, and we will learn about the healing properties of medicinal plants and products made by the community. We will then experience a delicious lunch of typical regional food including chicken mole and tortillas made by hand by the local women.

LODGING

We will be staying in two residences in the La Cañada complex within the Bahia de Conejos neighborhood. The houses both have private infinity pools that overlook the Pacific Ocean and access to a semi-private beach. Pricing is based on double occupancy and each room has an attached private bathroom. We are curating an intimate experience and feel that the private homes will help strengthen community among our group.

Pricing includes leadership development with April & Anthony, ground transfers to/from HUX, excursions, four nights lodging, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks each day.
